How many Italian companies are active in Silicon Valley? How can I find updated contact information for American branches of Italian fashion companies? Is there a list of businesses that can help an Italian company export and market its products in the USA?
Finding an answer to this sort of questions has typically not been easy. Today, this is about to change. BAIA, Business Association Italy America, is proud to launch BAIAbase: the first business database mapping Italy-US trade that is public, open to all users, editable, and therefore designed to remain always up-to-date.
Think Wikipedia: a repository of information created by and for users. BAIAbase uses the same approach: it leverages the contribution of Internet users, whether companies or individuals, to keep its data current. BAIAbase listings can be updated by anyone, simply and intuitively, through any web browser, from anywhere in the world, and free of charge.
The information it provides will prove vital to entrepreneurs, managers, and academics, as well as companies and associations that operate across Italy and the US. For example, a business looking for a partner in the Apparel industry that is an American branch of an Italian company will find dozens of relevant results, in just a few clicks.
BAIA is now releasing BAIAbase in public BETA: check it out and get involved.
While hundreds of listings are already active - and many more are added daily - there is still a long way to go to fulfill the potential of this exceptional tool. And you can help!
- Add new companies

(Note: all edits are moderated before going live)
BAIA has invested countless volunteer hours and significant resources in a tool we believe will change the way people look for information on Italy-US trade. There are big plans for the future of BAIAbase - from LinkedIn integration to reports, statistics, and business match-making tools.
