Hello Baia Community,
After six months as the Marketing and Communications Intern for BAIA, I would like to share this great experience with all of you!
The internship was more than I ever could have expected: it allowed me to grow and learn at a level that many recent graduates don’t have the chance to. I felt like a major contributor and I was able to work independently on multiple assigned projects. Working for BAIA helped me to use the knowledge I acquired throughout my education: the members of the association were very attentive, responsive to my requests and always made me feel like an important member of the group.
For many recent graduates like myself, an internship like this can be an extraordinary opportunity for professional growth and real-world exposure. You will certainly find great mentors, business professionals and the chance to work on core activities like web projects, event management, membership programs as well as the opportunity to propose and execute a project of your choosing.
Relevant experience, contacts, referrals, and introductions, are all you really need to get your foot in the door and this is exactly what Baia did for me. Through its large network I was able to meet many great professional from the Silicon Valley, while being exposed to a cohesive community of Italian and American companies. I was able to shape my communications skills and in less than 1 month after I ended the internship program, I was able to find a wonderful job in the field I have always pursued.
