Congratulations Roberto! The vibrant passion you put in your work is very palpable, as obvious as your talent in finding stories that "needed to be told".
But most of all I've been impressed by a very personal statement, which is not very often heard coming from Italians -at least I haven't heard it-: "If I'll fail, I'll be the only one to blame"...
I never thought of getting a tattoo, but if I ever will, that sentence is a good candidate for display...
;)
Grazie!

It was my pleasure meeting Roberto at Apple for an interview.
His background is also very fascinating and I hope he will be able to accomplish such an interesting task: telling the story of Italians in the Silicon Valley in a book.
What's next? A documentary? I am all for it, as filmmaking is my media.
As I told Roberto, I have been trying to promote the concept of a documentary since the foundation of SVIEC in 2004.
So, I hope our paths will cross again. I have several hours in tapes of presentations and interviews with some of these "Silicon Valley founders" who could be integrated in a nice feature length documentary... Now it's just a matter of finding a backer or two who believe in this project... I do. Thanks!

Milano, rain day , October 24th, 2007, 1 pm. My first meeting with Roberto, California dreamer, at that time. It seems a lot of time ago, are only few months, and a lot of work has been done by Roberto. I tried to give him during that meeting the first picture about what was happening in the bridge between Italy and Silicon Valley, starting from my fantastic network created from the first Silicon Valley Study Tour held in August 2005...SVIEC, BAIA, Partnership for Growth, than Mind the Bridge, 1GN, Italian Angels for Growth and La Storia nel Futuro...we did a great job, not to be lost!, thanks Roberto to write, with your great pen, about it!

HI Roberto.

I was fascinated by your work in Silicon Valley and that you'll be writing a book.

We haven't spoken since 2001 -- but I hope that can be soon be rectified.

This is fond greetings from you're old friend from Ireland and England --Brendano King:
