Matteo, you are right, Skype is one good example of a community under attack. One evident case of Internet technology trying to survive is right before our eyes every time we search on Google. The long list of spam websites returned by searches is the proof of the (negative) power of spammers. Blogs also are also deeply affected by spammers: with fake blogs and with fake comments posted by spammers on real blogs.
